I really hate solitude.

Pairing: DominationShipping (Izaya Orihara x Liisu.)

Somewhere deep in Ikeburkuo's heart, there was a building that stood tall, oppurating many businesses inside of it along with little shoppes within the designated floors. one of these offices belonged to a certain infromation broker that used it both as a business and a dorm for living. Sitting back in his black recliner chair, Izaya orihara had a particularly cloudy mind this morning. the office filled with late paperwork, business oppurtunities, and thrown away personal cards. the phone was going crazy with text messages that he hadn't bothered to even read, along with missed calls. Namie. his assitant had tried to make him even attempt to do his job but he just ignored her, or looked out the window at the bustling city below, giving off handed excuses on why he couldn't make appointments or help anyone out seeing as the humans below needed to be watched, or perhaps he lied and said someone would come by later. they never did because they were imaginary to begin with, though. not that Namie knew of it as she always 'coincidently' had off when the so called clients would come over. even with a cloudy mind Orihara still had her schedule memorized so it wasn't a problem to decieve her so easily.

Still, a bothered Izaya usually meant he was thinking, and when he was thinking. it would lead to one or two things. Trouble, or launching a nuke to destroy the world on friday.

"You've been staring at that photograpth of you and Mari-lis for the last forty minutes, I'm about to barf if you don't do something productive." Ah, seems Namie was still in.

"This is productive, you just don't realize why yet." Izaya murmured into his palm, gazing upon a photograpth sat in glass taken when he and his darling Liisu went to the beach two months ago, she wore a strawberry bikini that he specially bought for her whlst he had his own red swimming trunks. in the picture he was cradling her near the shoreline. she tried to splash him with some water and was smiling brightly.

Suddenly the picture got pushed over unto it's front, concealing the memory with the smallest of movements the back of the frame became the only thing visable. he frowned.

"Why are you such a kill joy, Namie?"

shrugging her shoulders the assistant replied in monotone. "Why don't you stop being a bastard and call her instead of waiting for her to come back." with the last remark she felt satisfied, when the so called bastard didn't have a comeback unless you counted a faint glare, having today off she decided to leave the office with her victory. leaving a certain informant with even more time on his hands.

hours passed with Izaya wasting time, just doing the most random of stuff that didn't matter in the least, like spinning in his chair, setting up dominos, lighting his match and watching it burn out, only when the clock hit 4:50 PM was Orihara even slightly on the right thinking track to get anything done. or so he thought, he tried sorting out some papers to clear his head but it ended with him pushing the whole stack into the garbage bin to rot. a little note caught his attention however standing quite proud on his desk. he must of not noticed it before, someone had sent him a postcard.

"Hate mail..Black mail..or meaningless mentions of thanks?" Izaya grinned, not interested in the latter of the three reaching for the postcard expecting that it would at least give him some form of excitment he opened it nonchalantly, leaning back in his recliner as he read it.

the first thing that caught his attention would be the name signed on top in bold purple print. Liisu, the second thing would be the end of the page in darker purple, goodbye. the sentence no one wants to ever see from their girlfriend even as a prank. his eyes scanned over the postcard with a newly acquired frown on his lips. it read that his toy was going on vacation for awhile, and since he hadn't been answering her calls or even letting her inside his office. stated that sending the informant a postcard seemed like the best way to inform him.

now, you might be asking why had he's been ignoring his only toy? perhaps anyone would suspect that he was upset with her, for what reason the people in ikebukuro couldn't figure out, however the truth was much. much different, more sensitive than people would have believed the heartless broker to be. more frankly Izaya was experiencing a case of heartbreak, masking it up with snares and cold behaviour. he saw her with Akise two months back. a kiss on the cheek was all it took for Orihara to shun her, and lock her out of his life. he intended to let her back in when she came crawling....but this vacation, she was leaving today at 5:30 PM and wouldn't be back for three more months. he couldn't bear to let her be gone that long, admitting it or not. he wasn't going to let her go. swinging on his eskimo styled jacket, faking a smile and sliding on his boots. he disappeared from the office in a blink of an eye, the postcard left open on the desk.

Meanwhile, in Ikebukuro's transportation station The sun felt nice overhead, not too overbearing or humid. the clouds sharing so many shapes with anyone they could. roughly somewhere in the afternoon, the atmosphere suggested around five or a quarter till.

"My bus will be leaving soon.." A dark haired brunette said outloud, more so mumbling to herself than the people who glanced in her direction. she felt alone standing in such a big crowd with no one she knew, the only famliar thing around her would be the rockstar designed bag around her arm and the black shoes she wore. she never went to this particular bus stop, Hound Express. due to the fact that it's only destination ever scheduled turned out to be the Air Port, Storgeon INC flight.

"So, Liisu-chan..Is this how it ends?"

"Iza..-sama?" Butchering his name from sheer shock. Liisu spun on her heels to face the speaker. standing there with his hands in his pockets would be none other than. Izaya orihara. just the sight of the Informant made her entire being tremble, he had abandoned her for months without any sort of returned contact. no calls, no answering the door, yet now here he was?

"Don't tell me, that you've forgotten me already? wow..that hurts me right here." Izaya grinned, removing his hand from his jackets pocket. he gestured to his rumoured heart and chuckled. though his little antics were short lived. his lips curled into a frown. "Lets cut to the chase, you know why I'm here, I know why I'm here.." coming closer, Izaya slung an arm around Liisu's shoulder, pulling her to himself in nothing less than a embrace. it was so sudden that it caught her off guard. she hiccuped and tried pushing the other off of her to no avail. she was about to break down and she did. hiccuping more as she started to cry and cling to the others jacket.

"See..? now isn't that better...you're not going anywhere. are you? nope." The informant answered himself, murmuring as he fished out his phone with his free hand. he would call a taxi and take Liisu back where she belonged. since it was evident that her flight would be canceled. seeing as she had missed him so much..of course she wouldn't go if he would accept her back. she would be loyal to the very end. as he always told her to be.

After sometime the Taxi finally came, Izaya helped his love inside and within the hours they arrived safely back to his office.

Once there Izaya craddled Liisu in his arms and took her to the couch. caressesing her hair and kissing her surprisingly enough, gentle kisses on the cheek, forehead. and even lips. he was treating her so kindly that it took her off guard again. she accepted it never the less. offering him the hot cocoa that she made prier when they first got there. they shared it and had a night full of little touches and kisses with cocoa.
Learning just how important it was to never be apart again.

But all good natured actions that Izaya displayed could of been false..it was not without ill nature that he would be so caring. had he known better to take care of his toys so they would trust him. yes. trust him more and more untill she was completly oblivious to his motives..

After all. She was His most precious chess piece.
